Dr. Howell Shaw
Dr. Howell Shaw is a dedicated community leader, educator, entrepreneur, and faith-based advocate running for Clark County Clerk in 2026. A longtime Henderson, Nevada resident, he brings proven innovation, efficiency, and values-driven leadership to modernize the Clerk’s office for all Clark County residents.
A Stanford University graduate (1985, Product Design), Shaw ranked at the top of his major and served as mellophone section leader in the legendary LSJUMB marching band.
After rising to Design Director and General Manager at frogdesign (winning multiple design awards), Shaw founded and served as Principal of envision ID, a successful design and corporate identity firm recognized in Print, Graphis, and Graphic Design USA.
In 1990, on Easter Sunday, he became a born-again Christian and was baptized. He has dedicated his life to Christ ever since, shaping his commitment to family values, religious freedom, and public service.
In Las Vegas, he taught Bible, science, math, and SAT prep at Lake Mead Christian Academy, served as Dean of Elementary Students, coached FIRST Robotics and Lego League, and founded the school’s tennis teams from the ground up.
As Executive Director of CityServe Nevada, he led a major Veteran’s Outreach in March 2022, distributing over $1 million in goods and serving over 300 local veterans and active-duty service members.
He is a certified Lifetime Constitution Coach and Coach Mentor for Nevada with Patriot Academy (since 2022), teaching “Biblical Citizenship,” Constitution Alive, and Rebuilding Liberty classes to promote civic education and constitutional understanding.
In 2022, he founded Dwell AJC (A Jesus Community), a Henderson micro-church where he serves as Founding Pastor. He is also a Clark County wedding officiant and an ordained Chaplain with Messages of Faith Ministry (since 2019), performing ceremonies and providing spiritual support. Shaw serves on the steering committee for the Imago Dei Movement, a Nevada-based initiative uniting churches, civic leaders, businesses, and individuals to uphold human dignity and the sanctity of life.
In 2025, he founded Henderson Conservatives, a grassroots town hall hosting prominent speakers (Mayor Michelle Romero, Senator Carrie Buck, Lt. Gov. Stavros Anthony, Controller Andy Matthews, and others) for sold-out policy discussions.
He chaired the Turning Point Action Faith Coalition in 2025 and received the Turning Point Action Coalition Leader of the Year award at AmericaFest 2025. He stepped down in March 2026 to focus on his campaign.
In recognition of his service, he received an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Humanities from United Graduate College and Seminary International on February 24, 2024.
