The Plan

A modern Clerk's office, built for Clark County.

No slogans, a specific, achievable plan to make the office faster, fairer, and more transparent for couples, families, entrepreneurs, and taxpayers. Explore each initiative in depth.

First, the facts

What the Clark County Clerk actually does.

The Clerk's office is one of the busiest service operations in Nevada. It issues every marriage license in Clark County, the Wedding Capital of the World, and the Clerk serves as Commissioner of Civil Marriages. It registers every new business name (DBA), commissions notaries, keeps the public's official records, and serves as Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners.

It is not the elections office, that's the Registrar of Voters. The Clerk's job is service: getting people married, getting businesses started, and keeping records open and accurate. That's exactly the kind of work Dr. Shaw has spent his career designing.
